IT Infrastructure Team Lead Preston£38,897 - £42,081 Up to 10% of annual salary offered for an outstanding candidate An IT infrastructure Team Lead is required for our education client based in Preston.This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for the organisation’s infrastructure environment. You’ll lead the Infrastructure & Systems sub-team, manage two Infrastructure Engineers, and ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and future-ready IT services.Key Responsibilities:Lead infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrationsAdminister networks, servers, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure AD)Oversee endpoint management (Intune & JAMF)Maintain and optimise SQL Server environmentsSupport cybersecurity, compliance, and disaster recovery planning Skills:Essential:Degree in IT or equivalent experienceStrong technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint managementProven leadership and IT Infrastructure project delivery experienceHans on Microsoft 365 and Azure ADExperience maintaining SQL Server environmentsExperience of cybersecurity monitoring and incident responseExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsDesirable:Industry certifications (e.g., Azure, SQL, Cisco, ITIL)Experience in education or public sector ITStrategic planning and systems integration knowledge
