Job Title: Integration Developer

Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions that connect systems across the organization. This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in the UK. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
The role places a strong emphasis on SQL, SSIS, and Azure Logic Apps, alongside experience in building and consuming APIs using C# or similar modern languages.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integration Design
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather requirements and define integration workflows.
- Design data mappings, transformations, APIs, and message schemas to enable secure and efficient data exchange.
2. Development & Implementation
- Build and deploy integration solutions using C#, .NET, or equivalent languages.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services, incorporating error handling and retry logic to ensure reliability.
3. Integration Tools & Platforms
- Utilize platforms such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS to orchestrate data flows and integrate systems.
- Use tools like Postman, Swagger, and API gateways to support development and testing.
4. API & Service Integration
- Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
- Integrate internal and third-party services to support service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
5. Data Transformation & Mapping
- Implement logic to transform data between formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Create reusable components to streamline integration across systems with varying schemas.
6. Testing & Debugging
- Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of workflows and APIs.
- Use debugging tools (e.g., Fiddler, Postman) and logs to identify and resolve issues.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of API contracts, integration configurations, and architecture.
- Provide regular updates and technical reports to stakeholders.
8. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with developers, data engineers, QA, and business analysts to align integration efforts with project goals.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with integration technologies, cloud platforms, and development best practices.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and help improve integration standards and code quality.
Candidate Profile
- Based in the United Kingdom (remote working).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in integration or backend/API development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SSIS, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Solid development experience with C#/.NET or similar languages (e.g., Java, Python).
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and other integration tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with data formats and protocols (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).
- Experience with source control (Git/TFS) and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
