About the opportunity

A well-established, privately owned organisation operating within the refurbished technology sector is continuing to grow. With a strong European presence and a multi-million-pound annual turnover, the business specialises in refurbished and remanufactured IT equipment, including laptops, printers and consumables.

As part of this growth, they are now looking to expand their internal sales team with the addition of an Internal Business Development Executive.

The role

This is an office-based, internal sales position focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities. You’ll work with a variety of customers including IT resellers, schools and commercial organisations, building long-term relationships and supporting ongoing sales and marketing initiatives.

The role would suit someone motivated, proactive and keen to build a career within business development and sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails and research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Accurately record all activity and opportunities within the CRM system
  • Work closely with sales and marketing colleagues to support campaigns and lead-generation activity
  • Research target markets and identify potential new customers

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in business development, sales or telesales is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • A self-motivated and target-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience using CRM systems would be advantageous, though full training will be provided
