Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £38,487 per annum, including Market Forces Supplement

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Construction department, delivering high-quality teaching and training to learners studying Electrical Installation programmes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop the practical skills, technical knowledge, and professional behaviours required for successful careers within the electrical industry. Alongside teaching, you will support learners to achieve their qualifications, progress into employment or further study, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning across Electrical Installation programmes.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning materials.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, achievement, and progression.
  • Act as a personal tutor, supporting the academic and pastoral needs of learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote employability skills and industry standards throughout the curriculum.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body and college quality requirements.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or higher.
  • Recent industry experience within the electrical sector.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical installation regulations and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping learners succeed.
