M365 Cloud Engineer
Reed Technology is working with a prestigious organisation in Edinburgh, currently seeking to hire a M365 Cloud Engineer on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.
The position you will deliver, maintain, and support the organisation’s Microsoft cloud environment—primarily M365, Azure and Intune—while assisting with on-premises infrastructure. The role also contributes significantly to digital transformation programmes, including major CRM and infrastructure modernisation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support the organisation’s M365 environment, including user account creation, permissions management, onboarding, and license administration.
- Manage and configure Intune, including writing and deploying device management and security policies.
- Support the migration of systems from on-premises to cloud, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to internal users.
- Provide hands-on support for cloud-related issues escalated from the helpdesk.
- Manage and support existing cloud solutions, ensuring reliability and scalability (not a traditional maintenance-only role).
- Contribute to major organisational projects, including a large-scale CRM implementation, and a broader digital transformation programme.
- Work cross-functionally with technology teams and business stakeholders to support cloud elements of ongoing and future initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience supporting and managing Microsoft 365 / Azure environments.
- Practical exposure to Intune, device management, and cloud administration.
- Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders, including public-facing or customer-facing environments.
- Ideally with prior experience in a professional-services-style environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in both project and BAU (business-as-usual) contexts.
- Ability to adapt communication style depending on the audience (technical and non-technical).

- Salary up to £45.000 / year (pro-rata)
