Network Architect

Network Architect (DV Cleared / Single UK National) Basingstoke | Fully On-site | £600+ per day | Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Network Architect to join a multi-skilled, agile engineering team delivering complex and secure infrastructure solutions from a customer site in Basingstoke.

This is a hands-on, technically challenging role where collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with security, service, and management teams, contributing to project delivery while shaping and improving network architectures in a high-security environment.

If you enjoy owning complex network designs end-to-end and taking accountability for delivery, performance, and continuous improvement, this role will suit you well.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering technical implementation of medium to large network infrastructures
• Working on project deployments including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Supporting project SMEs with preventative maintenance and configuration improvements
• Identifying risks, meeting delivery timescales, and contributing to technical frameworks on larger projects
• Implementing technical best practice independently within a team environment
• Managing systems in line with SLAs, identifying and delivering service improvements
• Owning complex technical issues and working with third-party suppliers where required
• Keeping up to date with new networking technologies, tools, and approaches to drive continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience implementing LAN networks and infrastructure patching from design specifications
• Strong background providing architectural and technical guidance to ensure compatibility with:
  • Enterprise architectures
  • Policies, standards, and security strategies
• Experience delivering work to agreed deadlines and cost constraints
• Ability to provide timely fixes or workarounds where issues arise
• Understanding that solutions often require process, service, or operating model changes, not just technology
• Comfortable working in complex, secure environments with multiple stakeholders

Role details

• Rate: £600+ per day
• Contract: 6-month initial engagement
• Location: Basingstoke (BSN01) – 5 days per week on-site
• Clearance: High-level clearance required (Single UK National only)
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday
• Start: ASAP
