3rd Line Cloud Network Engineer – Contract – Basingstoke (On-Site)

Are you a cloud-savvy network engineer with a passion for secure infrastructure and cutting-edge tech? We’re on the lookout for a skilled 3rd Line Cloud Network Engineer to join a collaborative team delivering robust network solutions in a high-security environment.

Location: Basingstoke – 5 days on-site Start Date: 22nd December 2025 (or sooner)End Date: 22nd June 2026 Type: Contract Working Pattern: Rotating shifts (07:00–15:00 and 11:00–19:00)Clearance Required: Purple

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting and maintaining physical and virtual network infrastructure
• Managing PKI certificates and distributing firmware/security updates
• Responding to escalations from 2nd Line checks using ITSM tooling
• Collaborating with design and engineering teams on new releases
• Monitoring systems via SolarWinds and maintaining documentation (e.g. patching schedules, work instructions)

What You’ll Bring:

Essential Skills:

• Hands-on experience with cloud network administration (e.g. Broadcom NSX-T)
• Strong understanding of firewall management (e.g. Cisco Firepower)
• Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices (IOS, NXOS, FXOS, JUNOS)
• Knowledge of network authentication (e.g. Cisco ISE)
• Experience with event management tooling (e.g. SolarWinds)
• Exposure to ITSM processes and cloud platforms (e.g. vCenter – user level)
