REED Technology are delighted to be representing a fantastic organisation who are seeking a Network Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the ICT infrastructure of the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with staff to support and develop the ICT capabilities within the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain and update the organisations Fixed Asset Register for ICT equipment.
- Research, recommend, and plan the acquisition of new ICT equipment and accessories.
- Develop and implement a 3-year ICT strategic plan.
- Manage and support all electronic devices and ICT equipment used by staff and pupils.
- Oversee the audio-visual, sound, and lighting systems within the organisation.
- Set up internet and video conferencing solutions as required.
- Act as the key liaison with 3rd party for managing the companies ICT network, including troubleshooting, system updates, and network management.
- Manage and maintain printers, photocopiers, and related systems, seeking cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain SIMS/Bromcom and associated parent contact applications.
- Support the biometric access control systems and manage the company website.
- Coordinate with third-party providers to ensure seamless service and support.
- Provide technical and administrative support during internal and external examinations.
- Promote the safe and positive use of ICT across the organisation community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised computer or network qualification at NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A*-C), including English and Mathematics.
- Experience in network management, including installing and configuring computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer systems/networks and a range of software applications.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Data Protection requirements.
