Network Support Engineer

Reed Technology is working with an established company based in Edinburgh, currently hiring a Network Support Engineer.This is a Permanent role, paying up to £35.000 / year with a hybrid-working model (3 days on-site).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone- and ticket-based support to clients regarding their network infrastructure.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network faults in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all actions taken throughout the ticket lifecycle.
  • Recognise when issues need to be escalated, while effectively managing customer expectations and the fault resolution process.
  • Clearly articulate solutions and technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, as required.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, and HP routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Meraki and Ubiquiti networking solutions.
  • Good understanding of routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
  • Knowledge of VoIP and SIP technologies.
  • Good grasp of LAN/WAN concepts, including Fibre, Ethernet, and xDSL.
