We are seeking a PMO Support professional to join our Met Business Services programme. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of new technology for Rostering, Finance, HR, and Commercial functions, alongside a new outsourced services contract for transactional services. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing a BAU function and supporting the achievement of strategic objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Governance & Secretariat: Lead governance and secretariat services, ensuring effective decision-making and robust governance frameworks.
- Reporting & Insight: Develop and deliver high-quality reporting and dashboards, providing insights to support senior stakeholder decision-making.
- Planning & Controls: Manage integrated programme planning, including scheduling and change control processes.
- RAID & Dependency Management: Proactively manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID), and drive mitigation strategies.
- Resource Onboarding: Ensure efficient onboarding and deployment of new starters across the programme.
- Benefits Realisation: Track and report on programme benefits in alignment with business cases.
- Information & Assurance: Manage programme information and ensure the quality of programme deliverables.
- Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lessons learned.
- Financial Oversight: Handle processing of Purchase Orders and budget alignment.
- Stakeholder & Delivery Alignment: Collaborate with Project Managers and workstream leads to ensure consistent standards and timely delivery.
- PMO Leadership & Capability Development: Lead the PMO function, promoting the adoption of project management methodologies and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong leadership experience within a PMO or Portfolio Management environment, ideally in a complex transformation programme.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and reporting tools.
- Recognised Project/Programme Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, APM).
- Proven experience in programme controls, planning, risk management, and change control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience in financial management and benefits tracking within a programme environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing third-party suppliers and contractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing at senior levels.
- Collaborative, proactive, and delivery-focused leadership style.
