  • Work Pattern: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days in the London office)
  • Rate: PAYE: £25.12 per hour, Limited/Umbrella: £32.80 per hour
  • Duration: 3 months

We are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Data Insights and Performance team within the Strategy and Programmes Directorate. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining accurate and timely insights that support council-wide reporting of complaints and enquiries, ensuring statutory and organisational requirements are met.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Complete statutory and corporate reporting for complaints, Members’ enquiries, and MPs’ enquiries, ensuring all data is collected, validated, quality-checked, and submitted in line with statutory guidance and internal assurance processes.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive performance and management information reports and Power BI dashboards to support service improvement.
  • Define user needs, transforming business requirements and goals into performance measures, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop performance measurement and management reports, supporting the creation of local service metrics and effective measurement systems.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of service performance to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, including benchmarking against relevant standards or peers.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions for the regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), improving efficiency and enabling timely, data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, actionable insights and evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other statistical software.
  • Familiarity and experience with the use of data visualisation tools such as Power BI to create reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present reports, findings, and recommendations.
  • Ability to complete statutory returns in line with guidance including collecting and validating data.
