As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services, focusing on HR, Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain solutions. Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Own and manage portfolio governance processes across multiple workstreams and programmes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated portfolio plans that align with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee RAID management, financial tracking, and reporting for portfolio health and performance.
  • Produce executive-level dashboards and reporting packs for senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Support resource forecasting, prioritisation, and capacity planning across projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to ensure delivery predictability and risk mitigation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Portfolio Management or PMO leadership within BAU and transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in portfolio and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Planview, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and governance meetings, driving alignment and decision-making.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources, ensuring optimal allocation across projects and programmes.
  • Competence in RAID management, change control, and configuration management.
  • Experience in financial, commercial, and licence management.
  • Strong capability in integrated planning, dependency management, and prioritisation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit readiness within portfolio governance.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and ability to integrate both in planning and reporting.
