Procurement Manager
Overview: Reed Procurement are partnered with an organisation based in the Cardiff area that operate within the Public Sector and have a fantastic reputation for employee satisfaction, benefits, and working environment. The organisation offers a very flexible and accommodating working environment whereby you can work from home 4 days per week and be on site 1 day per week, whilst also operating on a flexi time scheme. Duties Include:
- To act as Procurement Category Manager for the IT Procurement Category.
- To manage and lead a small team of 2 IT Procurement Officers.
- Create and maintain category strategies, which anticipate external factors to include regulatory, legislative and corporate social responsibility requirements.
- Attend external/ network events to maintain market-place awareness and insight into innovation and new ways of working.
- To ensure that procurement activities are accomplished in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, and through deployment of the Procurement policies and procedures.
Desirable Experience:
- Procurement Category Management experience within the IT Category
- Public Sector, end to end tendering experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience.
- MCIPS or studying towards CIPS qualification.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing experience
