Procurement Manager – IT Consulting & Channel Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Procurement Manager to lead and optimise our procurement function within the dynamic world of IT consulting and channel services. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient sourcing of IT products, services, and solutions that support our consulting and channel delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals in the IT channel ecosystem.
• Manage relationships with key vendors, distributors, and service providers (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Dell, etc.).
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Contract Negotiation & Compliance

• Lead contract negotiations for hardware, software, cloud services, and consultancy engagements.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal procurement policies.
• Mitigate risk through robust contract management and supplier due diligence.

Cost Optimisation & Value Creation

• Identify cost-saving opportunities across IT spend categories.
• Analyse market trends and pricing models to ensure competitive procurement.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to forecast budgets and track procurement KPIs.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with internal teams (IT, Sales, Consulting, Finance) to understand requirements and deliver procurement solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor on procurement best practices and vendor selection.

Technology & Process Improvement

• Leverage procurement tools and platforms (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing, contract management systems).
• Drive automation and digitalisation of procurement processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement within the IT consulting, IT services, or IT channel industry.
• Strong understanding of IT products, licensing models, cloud services, and vendor ecosystems.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and data-driven decision-making.
• CIPS qualification or equivalent (preferred).
