Procurement Manager - 6 Month FTC Location: Swindon (Hybrid, 3 days office-based)Salary: Competitive + Benefits

A well-established UK-based retail organisation is seeking two experienced Procurement Managers to join its central support team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a business undergoing transformation, with a renewed focus on strategic procurement and supplier optimisation.

The Opportunity: You’ll be joining a forward-thinking procurement function, supporting both strategic and tactical initiatives across a range of indirect spend categories. One role will focus on IT procurement, while the other will cover general indirect procurement. These positions are key to driving commercial value, managing supplier relationships, and supporting contract separation activities during a transitional phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support tendering processes (RFI/RFP), contract drafting, and negotiations across various indirect categories
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives
  • Manage supplier relationships and drive rationalisation to improve value and reduce risk
  • Oversee category spend and contribute to cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide commercial and contractual expertise, with the IT-focused role requiring strong vendor management and technology sourcing experience

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally across indirect categories
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
