We are supporting a leading professional services organisation in the appointment of an IT & Indirect Procurement Specialist to join their growing procurement function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional who enjoys delivering measurable results and driving procurement projects through to completion. Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you will take ownership of a portfolio of cost optimisation initiatives across IT and indirect spend categories, helping to deliver significant savings while supporting the continued development of procurement capability across the business.
The organisation has already identified a number of priority projects and secured stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of these initiatives, driving sourcing activity, managing supplier negotiations and delivering tangible commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end sourcing and cost optimisation projects across IT and indirect spend categories.
• Identify and deliver measurable savings through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and contract optimisation.
• Manage procurement activity across areas including SaaS, software licensing, telecommunications, infrastructure, managed services, travel, facilities and HR-related spend.
• Conduct spend analysis and contract reviews to identify commercial opportunities and build savings pipelines.
• Manage tender processes, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Oversee software renewals, licensing reviews, compliance requirements and commercial true-up activities.
• Develop and maintain renewal trackers, procurement templates and governance processes.
• Partner with stakeholders across IT, Finance and operational teams to ensure projects deliver on time and achieve intended savings.
• Monitor, validate and report procurement savings and commercial benefits.
• Support the implementation of practical procurement processes and stronger commercial controls.
Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience delivering procurement-led cost savings initiatives and sourcing projects.
• Strong end-to-end procurement and category management experience.
• Experience managing procurement projects independently with full accountability for delivery.
• Good knowledge of IT procurement, including SaaS, software licensing, telecommunications, managed services or technology infrastructure.
• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience operating successfully within a lean or developing procurement environment.
• Resilient, proactive and highly organised, with the ability to maintain momentum and drive projects through to completion.
This opportunity would suit an individual who enjoys the delivery side of procurement and wants to make a genuine impact. Rather than focusing on large-scale transformation programmes, the role centres on executing live projects, delivering savings and improving commercial outcomes across the business.
