We are partnering with an exciting business who seek a hands-on Production Engineer with foundational IT knowledge to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and support of their production systems and internal IT infrastructure. This hybrid role bridges core production operations and general IT responsibilities — perfect for someone who thrives in both systems engineering and day-to-day IT environments.

Day-to-Day of the Role:- Maintain and monitor production systems to ensure uptime, performance, and stability.
- Provide support across infrastructure components such as servers, cloud services, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues across production and internal IT environments.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Participate in deployments, configuration changes, and patch management.
- Assist with management of Windows-based systems and services (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, basic Office 365).
- Provide technical support to internal users on basic IT issues (device setup, connectivity, software installs).
- Monitor system alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner, including on-call support rotation.
- Document standard operating procedures and system configurations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to improve processes and equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in a Production Support, Site Reliability, Systems Administrator, or IT Support role.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (especially Windows Server and/or Linux).
- Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN).
- Experience with Microsoft platforms such as Windows OS & Server, Active Directory, and basic Office 365 Admin.
- Scripting ability with PowerShell or Bash for automation.
- Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Azure Monitor).
- Basic experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Clear communication and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of problems.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and balancing IT & production priorities.
