Project Accountant & Technology Lead

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Office based (Near Dorset / Somerset border)

Our client based is recruiting a Qualified accountant who can combine traditional finance and compliance responsibilities with technology, AI implementation, and process improvement leadership.

Main Purpose of the Role

You will work alongside the Finance Accountant and Tax Accountant, supporting the financial and compliance functions of the Family Office while leading projects to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability through technology and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & AI

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
  • Lead AI and technology initiatives across the business.
  • Manage software implementation projects and system improvements.
  • Train colleagues on new technologies and processes.
  • Act as the organisation's AI champion.

Wealth Reporting

  • Support and review wealth reporting and investment information.
  • Prepare loan summaries, schedules, asset statements, and reporting packs.
  • Monitor loan and mortgage repayments.
  • Maintain investment databases and filing systems.

Company Secretarial & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit Companies House filings and statutory returns.
  • Maintain company records and registers.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

Finance

  • Support accounting activities for pension schemes and property investment companies.
  • Review management accounts, VAT returns, financial statements, and audit files.
  • Assist with tax and governance compliance across various entities.

Requirement

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

3+ years post-qualified experience

Strong Microsoft 365 skills

Hands-on AI experience

Process improvement/project management capability

High levels of discretion and professionalism
