Project Coordinator (Operational Technology)
- Contract Type: 12-month initial contract
- Location: Warrington (Hybrid - 3 days/week on-site)
- Daily Rate: £350–£400 via Umbrella
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join a high-performing team delivering complex, challenging Operational Technology (OT) projects within a leading organisation. This role is ideal for experienced Project Coordinators or Assistant Project Managers. Candidates with transferable skills from construction, engineering, gas, nuclear, or telecoms are also encouraged to apply if they possess a strong operational mindset.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Project Administration & Governance: Maintain project plans, RAID logs, action trackers, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control records.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate site access, permits, RAMS, inductions, and the movement of materials and vendors in line with health and safety requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, capture minutes/actions, and ensure follow-through to closure across project managers, engineers, vendors, and operations.
- Data & Reporting: Collate progress updates, prepare status reports/PowerPoint packs, and maintain current records in SharePoint/Jira/Azure DevOps.
- Commercial Support: Assist with PR/PO creation, invoice tracking, and vendor onboarding.
- Documentation Control: Ensure project documentation is version-controlled and audit-ready, particularly for regulated programmes.
- Quality & Compliance: Support adherence to health and safety standards (IOSH/NEBOSH advantageous), NIS compliance requirements, and internal governance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project coordination or assistant project management roles, or strong transferable skills with clear evidence of delivery in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Exposure to Operational Technology environments (e.g., telemetry/SCADA, PLCs, communications, electronic security) is highly advantageous; but familiarity with regulated sectors (gas, nuclear, telecoms, constructions) is also beneficial.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; confident in facilitating, following up, and driving actions to completion.
- Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent), Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint; familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps is a plus.
Desirable Qualifications:
- APM or similar foundational project qualification.
- IOSH/NEBOSH (or equivalent health and safety credentials).
- Understanding of hybrid Waterfall/Agile delivery methods.
