Project Trainer
A large Utilities organisation is looking for a Project Trainer to join in an initial 4-month contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of training aligned with project goals. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs, design engaging content, and deliver training that supports operational excellence. You’ll also represent training in project meetings, manage logistics, and ensure training solutions are scalable, accessible, and future-proof.
This is an initial 4-month contract based in Warrington (hybrid working, 3 days per week onsite), with a daily rate of £400 to £450 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Training Needs Analysis (TNA): Conduct detailed TNAs to identify learning gaps and define training requirements.
- Content Development: Create consistent, engaging, and accessible training materials including guides, presentations, videos, and modular resources.
- Digital Learning: Design screen capture tutorials and short video modules to support digital and self-paced learning.
- Training Delivery & Administration: Coordinate training sessions, manage attendance and feedback, record completions in SAP, and report on training outcomes.
- Project Representation: Act as the training lead in project meetings, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with SMEs, operational trainers, and project teams to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Planning & Evaluation: Develop delivery plans, manage trainers and facilities, and adapt training to evolving project needs.
- Ongoing Support: Oversee deployment via Educate (Discovery), monitor post-rollout completion, and deliver train-the-trainer sessions.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in designing and delivering both face-to-face and virtual training.
- Strong background in IT systems, soft skills, and customer-focused training.
- Proficiency in creating video and screen capture content for e-learning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Strong planning, organisational, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in blended learning design and evaluation methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
