Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator

A growing project-led technology business is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to support the procurement, inventory management and shipping of specialist technical equipment.

This is a varied role combining purchasing, logistics, stock control, and warehouse coordination responsibilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment and materials are sourced, received, organised, and distributed efficiently, supporting projects across the UK and internationally. Please note that this position is 100% onsite; there is no option for hybrid working.

We're looking for an individual who is equally comfortable working with suppliers and purchase orders as they are receiving deliveries, managing stock, and preparing equipment for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Supplier Coordination

  • Raise and process purchase orders.
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate deliveries.
  • Obtain quotations and monitor lead times.
  • Resolve delivery discrepancies and supplier queries.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data.

Logistics & Shipping

  • Coordinate UK and international shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and customs paperwork.
  • Liaise with freight providers and couriers.
  • Track deliveries and ensure equipment reaches projects on time.
  • Support export and import activities.

Stock & Inventory Management

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods.
  • Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Organise and manage stores and stock locations.
  • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment activities.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly prepared, labelled, and ready for deployment.

Operational Support

  • Work closely with technical and project teams to fulfil equipment requirements.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for shipment.
  • Help maintain an organised and efficient warehouse and storage environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll already have relevant experience across areas such as purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, inventory and stores management, together with an understanding of technical products and equipment.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Experience of managing supplier relationships, price negotiation and placing purchase orders
  • Knowledge of inventory and stock control processes.
  • Experience managing shipments and logistics activities.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Confidence using ERP, purchasing, finance, or stock management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within a technical, engineering, technology, electronics, or project-based environment.
