Quality Officer - Digital Forensics - Part time

A digital forensics consultancy specialised in expert analysis and evidence services is seeking an organised, proactive, and knowledgeable Part-Time Quality Officer to join our growing team in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in quality management systems—particularly within ISO/IEC frameworks—who is interested in supporting high-integrity digital forensics operations.

The role is a permanent position that will initially be for 2 days per week (or 16 to 20 hours per week) with opportunity to increase hours if desired and dependant on business need. The role will be based in the office in Cheshire (potential flexible working in future) and the successful candidate will need to undergo and maintain NPPV3 vetting due to the nature of the role. The salary for the role is pro rata based on a full time equivalent salary of £40,000 + excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance our Quality Management System in line with ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Support internal and external audits, promoting compliance and ongoing improvement
  • Develop, review, and update quality policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Collaborate with technical teams to embed quality best practices
  • Assist with risk assessments, corrective actions, and quality performance reporting

Essential Requirements

  • Practical experience with ISO/IEC 27001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025
  • Background in quality assurance, compliance, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity, or technical laboratory environments
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and regulatory standards
  • Understanding of data protection and information security principles
  • Internal auditor qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
