Senior RF Engineer

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Radio Frequency Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation developing advanced RF and microwave technologies for telecommunications, defence and high-tech applications.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative products from concept through to production within a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF/mmWave circuits, modules and systems.
  • Take ownership of RF specifications, simulation, design verification and testing activities.
  • Conduct system line-up, tolerance and yield analysis.
  • Support component, IC and MMIC selection.
  • Work closely with Mechanical, Electronics, PCB Layout, Manufacturing and Test teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Support product introduction, fault finding and production troubleshooting.
  • Ensure designs meet technical, quality, cost and delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in RF, Microwave, Electronics, Communications Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in RF or microwave design.
  • Experience using RF design tools such as ADS, CST, Microwave Office or EMPro.
  • Strong understanding of RF system design, simulation and analysis.
  • Experience with amplifier, transceiver, filter, module or subsystem design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Telecommunications, Defence, Aerospace or Advanced Technology sectors.
  • Design for manufacture and production support.
  • RF/mmWave technologies and high-frequency system integration.
