About the Role

As a Research Hardware Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of a transformative initiative to build and maintain cutting-edge HPC infrastructure that empowers researchers to tackle some of the most complex challenges in economics, behavioural science, and computational sociology.

You’ll design and optimise high-performance systems—from GPU-accelerated clusters to AI-ready architectures—ensuring scalability, security, and future-readiness. Your work will directly enable groundbreaking research in machine learning, agent-based modelling, and large-scale simulations.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect and manage HPC clusters tailored to data-intensive social science research.
  • Integrate GPU acceleration and AI-optimised hardware for deep learning and advanced analytics.
  • Collaborate with researchers to deliver bespoke computing solutions that elevate research productivity.
  • Lead the evolution of hybrid cloud/on-prem HPC environments.
