Ruby Developer

Our organisation is embarking on a major strategic initiative to review and modernise our website and CMS architecture. As part of the first phase of this programme, we have secured funding for a fixed-term, day-rate Contract Ruby Developer (1 FTE equivalent) to help deliver a series of key enhancements to our CMS and its supporting infrastructure.

About the Role

You will join a small, highly skilled, and collaborative development team, contributing to project-based digital development and technical consultancy within a bespoke, Ruby-based environment. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and improving our digital estate.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced specialist with:

• Extensive, senior-level experience in Ruby-based digital development, supported by a strong portfolio of delivered work.
• Deep technical knowledge of Ruby-driven CMS platforms, ideally including systems comparable to Typecase and Typecase for Courses (or similar bespoke CMS solutions).
• The ability to quickly understand and navigate complex technical environments, working effectively and independently with minimal onboarding time.
