SAP Finance Trainer
SAP FINANCE TRAINER, HYBRID (3 DAYS ON-SITE)
My client, a leader in the public sector, is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Trainer to support a major finance transformation programme. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on-site delivery in London, focused on classroom-based training and on-the-ground user support.
As a member of the training delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance training to a wide user community, supporting users through hands-on learning, sandbox practice and go-live adoption.
You will play a key role as the face of training, ensuring users gain confidence in the new system through structured sessions and in-person support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and virtual SAP S/4HANA Finance training sessions to a range of users, from transactional users to senior stakeholders.
- Co-deliver sessions with SMEs, leading on system demonstrations and practical exercises.
- Adapt training approach to suit different audiences, from detailed technical users to occasional system users.
- Provide at-the-elbow support during sandbox sessions and practical exercises.
- Support users during go-live and hypercare periods, including floor-walking across multiple sites.
- Troubleshoot basic issues in real time and escalate more complex problems where required.
- Manage training logistics including room setup, system access, attendance tracking and feedback collection.
- Work with the training vendor and change team to identify content gaps and provide feedback on effectiveness.
- Support delivery of train-the-trainer sessions for Super Users and internal champions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and users to support adoption and confidence.
- Provide weekly reporting on training delivery, attendance, feedback and emerging issues.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance training in a classroom, virtual or on-site setting.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Fiori applications and live system demonstration.
- Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage varied audiences.
- Experience working alongside SMEs in co-delivered sessions.
- Background in floor-walking, hypercare or go-live support.
- Confident supporting users across all levels, from junior staff to senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into simple language.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during go-live periods.
Desirable:
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Public sector or local government finance experience.
- Exposure to SAP go-live and hypercare environments.
- Experience with WalkMe or digital adoption tools.
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as PSM, Treasury, Projects or Lease Accounting.
- Learning & Development certification (e.g. CIPD, ATD).
