SAP Test Analyst S/4HANA

A SAP Test Analyst (S/4HANA) is required for our client based in Manchester for an initial 3 month contract. Mainly remote, however site visits will be required various phases of the project/dependent on project needs.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for testing end-to-end business processes that span across Finance, Procurement, and Payroll. The role requires strong experience in public cloud environments, as well as the ability to understand the unique requirements of local government organisations.

You will work closely with the SAP Test Manager, business SMEs, SAP implementation partner, and stakeholders to ensure the solution is fully tested and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute test cases across both SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud platform.
• Customise SAP test scripts to reflect public sector-specific business processes, compliance requirements, and reporting needs.
• Conduct integration testing between SuccessFactors and S/4HANA (employee master data, payroll interfaces, financial posting, time management, procurement approvals).
• Support UAT and regression testing phases, working closely with business users.
• Manage defects through their full lifecycle.
• Assist in test data preparation for Finance domains, ensuring alignment with public sector data models (cost centres, service structures, statutory reporting).
• Document test results clearly and maintain audit-compliant test evidence.
• Support business users to ensure confidence in the system prior to go-live.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience testing across SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
• Good understanding of local authority business processes, including finance/procurement.
• Modules such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Invoice BACS payments, RTR, Projects Assets, Budgets forecasting, FIco
• Practical experience with end-to-end testing of integrated SAP landscapes.
• Proven ability to tailor test scripts to local government structures and processes.
• Strong experience in defect management and test lifecycle documentation.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Experience testing SuccessFactors to S/4HANA Public Cloud integrations.
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, or equivalent test management tools.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing qualification.
• Experience delivering testing in a public sector transformation programme.
