Overview

We are seeking an experienced SSRS Developer with strong SQL Server expertise and proven experience working with NEC/Northgate Revenues & Benefits systems to support a critical reporting migration project.

The organisation is currently migrating approximately 600 operational reports from Business Objects to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) ahead of the end of vendor support for the existing platform. The successful contractor will play a key role in accelerating the migration programme and helping reduce operational risk before year-end.

This is a hands-on delivery-focused engagement where you will be responsible for converting, testing and publishing reports while working closely with internal technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert existing Business Objects reports into SSRS reports.
  • Analyse and adapt existing SQL queries for use within SSRS.
  • Modify report outputs, joins, parameters and formatting as required.
  • Publish reports through SSRS and configure scheduling/distribution where appropriate.
  • Work with service teams and end users to validate report outputs and ensure business requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with internal System Development Officers and Applications teams.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues within complex report migrations.
  • Maximise the number of reports successfully migrated within the agreed contract period.
