Location: South Leicestershire

Salary: £30,000- £35,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

An established and growing manufacturing business in South Leicestershire is seeking an organised and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to join its team.

This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales administration, order processing, purchasing, and general office support. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive excellent service while coordinating orders from enquiry through to delivery.

The Role

As the first point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for handling enquiries, processing orders, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations across the business.

You will also support sales and marketing activities, assist with customer quotations, and help maintain company CRM and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.

Provide updates on order progress and delivery schedules.

Resolve customer issues and build strong customer relationships.

Sales Order Processing

Manage customer orders from receipt through production, dispatch, and invoicing.

Create and maintain product, tooling, and material records.

Liaise with customers to clarify order requirements.

Issue sales order confirmations promptly.

Sales & Marketing Support

Assist with prospecting activities and appointment coordination.

Support CRM system maintenance.

Help organise exhibitions, events, and marketing activities.

Assist with creating content for social media platforms.

Quotations

Review and respond to quote requests from existing customers.

Obtain pricing and lead-time information from suppliers.

Escalate larger commercial opportunities where appropriate.

Purchasing & Supply Chain Support

Monitor stock levels and raise purchase orders.

Track supplier deliveries and maintain accurate system updates.

Help ensure production schedules and customer delivery expectations are met.

Office Administration

Support bookkeeping and budgeting activities.

Maintain customer records and data accuracy.

Manage filing and office supplies.

Assist with general administrative duties as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in customer service, sales administration, or coordination.

Strong administration and data entry skills.

Desirable

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or production environment.

Bookkeeping experience.

Experience using CRM or ERP systems.

Familiarity with AI tools and technology to support productivity and business processes.
