School ICT Technician

Full-time | 37 hours per week Salary: £28,142 – £32,061 (Grade 6)

We are looking for an enthusiastic ICT Technician to join a busy and supportive ICT team within a large secondary school and sixth form environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in delivering great customer service, and wants to make a positive impact on teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and students
• Maintain ICT hardware, software and network systems
• Manage user accounts and access permissions
• Support IT projects, upgrades and system improvements
• Ensure ICT security, data protection and safeguarding processes are followed

What We’re Looking For

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of networks, servers and ICT security
• Good communication skills, especially with non-technical users
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and professional development

Desirable: ICT qualifications/ certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA), experience in education, knowledge of MIS systems and Apple/Google device management.

This role requires an enhanced DBS clearance.
