Security Architect - DV Clearance

A leading global IT services and solutions provider, supporting public and private sector clients with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our dynamic team, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to design and deliver secure, scalable solutions. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of security assurance across government and defence sectors.

The successful candidate will need to already hold DV clearance due to the nature of the role and this will be a remote working role with some travel to the Basingstoke and Bracknell sites required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers and technical teams to provide expert security guidance.
  • Design secure solutions tailored to customer needs, integrating appropriate security controls.
  • Work alongside infrastructure and network architects to align security architecture with threat models and tier requirements.
  • Engage with suppliers to identify suitable security products and obtain volume-based quotes.
  • Own the security strategy and approach for bids, ensuring alignment with HMG and MOD assurance frameworks.
  • Develop transition plans and identify security-related risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Respond to security-related bid questions with compelling, well-structured answers.
  • Estimate and manage security resource requirements for bid submissions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience owning the security aspects of bids and solution design.
  • Deep understanding of HMG and MOD assurance models, including Security by Design (SbD).
  • Strong background in risk assessment methodologies: HMG IA Standard 1&2, ISO27005, NIST 800-30.
  • Familiarity with security control frameworks: ISO 27001 series, NIST 800-53, CIS.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical architects to define and implement security controls across physical, procedural, personnel, and technical domains.
  • Knowledge of through-life security practices: patching, vulnerability management, monitoring, incident response, malware protection, and boundary defence.
  • Experience working with suppliers such as Tenable and Splunk to scope and procure security solutions.
