Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for networking, communications and delivering complex technical solutions?

We're working with a specialist engineering organisation supporting critical Defence and Government programmes. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Systems Engineer to join their highly skilled technical team based in North Surrey.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative communications and infrastructure projects, supporting customers from initial design through to implementation and ongoing technical support.

The Role

As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, configuration, testing and delivery of technical solutions for Defence and Government customers.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing and configuring systems to meet customer and project requirements
• Producing technical documentation and supporting project delivery
• Defining IP structures and network architectures
• Supporting testing, verification and evaluation of hardware and software solutions
• Engaging with customers to understand operational requirements and future enhancements
• Providing technical input into proposals and new projects
• Supporting site visits, trials and system deployments when required
• Participating in an engineering support rota

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates with:

• Experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
• Cisco CCNA level knowledge or equivalent networking experience
• Experience with Juniper technologies would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of IP networking and network design
• Broad ICT experience
• Satellite communications experience would be highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.
