Senior Business Analyst
SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST, SC SECURITY CLEARANCE, HYBRID
My client, a leader in the public sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support nationally significant technology programmes. This is a hybrid role, working from home and the London-based office (SW6) 3 days a week.
As a member of the Technology function, you will be responsible for acting as a conduit between operational users and central technology teams, shaping user requirements, scoping studies and Government Green Book–compliant business cases to progress technology initiatives through governance to delivery.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior stakeholders in the creation of user requirements, scoping studies and business cases, working with operational teams, finance, procurement and technical colleagues as required.
Ensure new technology requirements align with existing national products, services and strategic objectives.
Act as a key point of advice and escalation for technology projects, programmes, governance and delivery issues.
Work closely with finance, commercial teams and external partners to ensure projects are suitably commissioned and continue to deliver against user needs.
Represent the technology function at project and programme boards, corporate forums and partner agencies, influencing direction and outcomes.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops and lead user research activities.
Produce high-quality analysis artefacts including as-is and to-be process models (BPMN), gap analysis, UML models and design documentation.
Support the assessment and application of new and emerging technologies.
Oversee and coordinate multiple business analysis workstreams concurrently.
Provide mentoring and support to junior business analysts, ensuring the quality and consistency of outputs.
Essential Experience:
Extensive experience delivering business analysis across full project and development lifecycles.
Extensive experience of Cloud and On Prem
Strong practical experience in BPMN process modelling, gap analysis and requirements definition.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments and conducting user research.
Proven experience delivering IT-focused business cases within complex governance frameworks.
Knowledge of security accreditation processes, including different security classifications and the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
Experience facilitating and leading workshops.
Strong understanding of secure IT environments, technological risk and the implications of emerging technologies.
Ability to manage or oversee small to medium-sized projects from initiation to delivery.
