Business Analyst

• 3 months initial contract
• Outside IR35 
• Location: Hybrid (3 days a week in Media City, Salford, Manchester)

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major transition project for a leading broadcaster. The role involves moving from an on-premises storage solution to a new system. This position requires a professional with strong business analysis experience in complex projects, particularly in media and broadcast technologies.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact to ensure alignment and communication across all parties.
• Identify Workflow Gaps: Review user, production, and archiving workflows to uncover gaps, duplication, or opportunities for simplification.
• Focus on Critical Workflows: Prioritise workflows essential to future operations for detailed analysis and improvement.
• Requirements Capture: Gather technical and functional requirements from stakeholders and existing processes.
• Analysis and Documentation: Analyse findings and produce clear, structured documentation to support vendor engagement and RFI responses.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong business analysis experience on complex projects.
• Expertise in documenting, analysing, and proposing system and user workflows.
• Proficient in requirements capture, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience in creating and managing Requests for Information (RFI).
• Ability to engage stakeholders sensitively and analyse feedback effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Exceptional documentation creation and review skills.
• Good reporting and presentation capabilities.
• Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
• Knowledge of Production Asset Management (PAM) systems.
• Familiarity with media and broadcast technologies and related workflows.
