Senior Cyber Operations Manager

Contract: 3–6 Months+Rate: Up to £700 per day (Inside IR35)Location: Southern England (Remote with some onsite – TBC)Start: URGENT

Our large government client is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Operations Manager to join their IT Operations leadership team. This is a critical role ensuring robust cyber security standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of cyber security standards aligned with policy frameworks, risk appetite, legislation, and industry best practices.
• Drive strategy and alignment within IT Operations to maintain effective cyber resilience.
• Oversee compliance and operational delivery of cyber security initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Advanced degree in Information Security or equivalent professional experience.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar.
• Proven experience in financial services, pensions, or government sectors applying cyber security theory and best practice.
• Strong understanding of evolving threat landscapes and technologies, including private cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
