Help Build the Future of AI-Powered Public Safety

We're partnering with a highly ambitious, venture-backed technology company operating in stealth mode. Their mission is to become the world's leading AI company serving the law enforcement and public safety sector.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Data Scientist with strong experience in time-series analysis, signal processing and applied machine learning. This role focuses on transforming complex streams of telemetry data, including heart rate, movement, location and stress indicators, into meaningful behavioural and operational insights.

This isn't a traditional data science role centred around dashboards or reporting. Instead, you'll be responsible for building the inference layer that sits between raw sensor data and real-world decision making. You'll develop models that identify patterns, detect anomalies and establish behavioural baselines, helping create AI-powered systems capable of delivering critical insights in real time.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience working on wearable technology, physiological data, telemetry platforms, IoT devices or other sensor-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop machine learning models and inference systems using complex sensor and telemetry data.
  • Analyse multivariate time-series datasets to identify behavioural patterns and operational insights.
  • Build anomaly detection and behavioural baselining models.
  • Translate raw telemetry streams into meaningful, actionable intelligence.
  • Work with streaming and low-latency data architectures to support real-time decision making.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and AI specialists to take solutions from research through to production deployment.
  • Continuously optimise model performance, accuracy and scalability.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, experimentation and product development.
  • Take ownership of complex problems across data science, product and engineering domains.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or Applied AI roles.
  • Hands-on experience working with time-series data and signal processing.
  • Experience analysing telemetry, sensor, wearable, physiological or similar real-world datasets.
  • Strong understanding of multivariate time-series modelling.
  • Experience developing anomaly detection and behavioural baselining solutions.
  • Ability to take machine learning solutions from research and experimentation into production environments.
  • Experience solving complex problems through iteration, optimisation and experimentation.
  • Strong coding and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience within a start-up, scale-up or SME setting.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working with smart watches, wearable health technology or IoT platforms.
  • Exposure to low-latency or streaming inference architectures.
  • Experience working within public safety, security, defence, healthcare or other regulated sectors.

Why Join?

  • Join a stealth-mode AI business with significant growth ambitions.
  • Work on technology with genuine impact in public safety and law enforcement.
  • Help build AI products from the ground up.
