Are you a seasoned DBA ready to take your career to the next level? My client is on the lookout for a Senior Database Administrator to join their dynamic and forward-thinking tech team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid role ideally based out of the Southampton office, where you'll play a pivotal part in managing and optimising a diverse database estate across SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Spearheading the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all database systems.
• Leading backup, recovery, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Driving automation using tools like PowerShell and Python to streamline operations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications.
• Mentoring junior DBAs and providing technical guidance across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL as a DBA.
• 3+ years’ experience with MS SQL Server using Microsoft tools.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server versions 2012–2019, Oracle 10g–19c, and the latest PostgreSQL releases.
• Deep expertise in backup strategies, recovery models, replication, log shipping, and more.
• Proven track record in performance tuning and query optimisation.
• Strong understanding of HA/DR solutions and security best practices.
• Experience in database migrations and upgrades across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency in automation scripting with PowerShell and Python.
