Senior Digital Forensic Analyst

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Digital Forensic Analyst to join a well-established and growing digital forensics team supporting a diverse range of investigations across both public and private sector clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a forensic professional looking to work on complex and challenging examinations involving computers, mobile devices, and bespoke investigations. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality forensic analysis, supporting junior team members, contributing to laboratory excellence, and helping shape best practice across the business.

This is a permanent position based in Stratford-Upon-Avon onsite, the salary banding for the role is £35,000 to £45,000 + excellent benefits (relocation support available for the right candidate). Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate must be eligible for police vetting (minimum 5 years UK residency required). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex digital forensic examinations across computers, mobile devices, and other digital media.
  • Produce detailed, accurate, and high-quality forensic reports suitable for evidential and expert witness purposes.
  • Undertake defence and bespoke forensic investigations requiring advanced technical expertise.
  • Independently manage case workloads while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Carry out peer reviews of both standard and complex casework.
  • Support client-facing meetings to understand investigative requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Deliver training and mentoring to colleagues, helping develop the capability of the wider team.
  • Contribute to quality management activities including validation, competency assessments, auditing, and process improvement.
  • Support off-site examinations and occasional travel where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience within Digital Forensics.
  • Strong understanding of ACPO Guidelines, ISO 17025, and the Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice.
  • Proven experience conducting forensic examinations on computers and mobile devices.
  • Strong working knowledge of leading forensic software and examination tools.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or supporting less experienced analysts.
  • A professional, collaborative, and solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold:

  • A degree (2:2 or above) in Digital Forensics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or another IT-related discipline.

OR

  • HND/HNC qualification combined with relevant commercial digital forensic experience.
