REED Technology are recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Technician to join a large and well-established organisation on a long-term contract based in Norwich.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys working across complex IT environments, solving technical issues and supporting business-critical systems.
You will act as a senior technical escalation point, providing 3rd line support, maintaining core infrastructure services and delivering technical project work. The position offers a varied workload covering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, networking, hardware support and wider infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
- Providing advanced 3rd line infrastructure support
- Supporting Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Maintaining network and infrastructure services
- Investigating and resolving complex technical incidents
- Supporting upgrades, maintenance and project activity
- Working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Assisting with infrastructure improvements and technical initiatives
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience within a 3rd Line Support, Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Infrastructure role
- Strong Windows Server administration experience
- Advanced Active Directory skills
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of networking technologies including LAN, WAN and wireless networks
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Microsoft 365 administration
- SCCM administration
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience within healthcare, public sector or other large-scale environments
