- Location: Hybrid - Remote / London, E16
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Working Hours: 5 days per week, 7.4 hours per day
We are seeking an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager for a public sector client. This role is crucial for leading communications during a major IT shared services transformation, ensuring staff are well-informed, engaged, and supported throughout the change process. This is a dynamic position focused on delivering effective change communications to facilitate the migration of our IT Service.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the development and execution of clear, measurable communications and engagement plans for IT shared services transformation, ensuring messages are timely, consistent, and tailored to diverse audiences.
- Provide expert advice on change communications strategy and approach to senior leaders and programme teams.
- Create and manage high-quality content for internal channels such as newsletters, all staff briefings, and leadership briefings, and oversee the creation and approval of intranet content.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and programme teams, promoting best practices for communicating change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and delivering communications for large-scale change or transformation programmes.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled at translating complex or technical information into clear, compelling messages.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Experience in planning and delivering staff engagement events and activities.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams Live) and intranet content management systems (Drupal).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement change communications plans aligned with programme objectives, integrating internal and change communications into change delivery plans and strategies.
- Produce and edit engaging content for intranet, newsletters, and live events to support change initiatives, building understanding and trust during change.
- Oversee the development of toolkits, guidance, and other materials to support staff through the change programme.
- Measure the impact of change communications through surveys, analytics, and feedback, reporting on outcomes and recommending improvements.
