Senior / Principal Frontend Developer – Newcastle – up to £70K DOE

A high-growth SaaS company is hiring for a Senior / Principal Frontend Developer to join their team. This company are on an exciting growth journey to scale their impact and transform their platform. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who thrives on solving complex UI challenges, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to influence the direction of a product used by household names. You’ll lead frontend development efforts, architect scalable solutions, and ensure the platform delivers seamless, accessible experiences across devices.
- Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build dynamic, responsive interfaces using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Partner with design and product teams to bring intuitive, user-friendly features to life
- Set standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability across the frontend codebase
- Guide technical decisions and contribute to long-term engineering strategy
- Support and mentor developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Continuously improve development workflows and advocate for best practices
Skills
- A sound background in frontend development, with strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API integration
- Proven experience designing scalable component-based systems
- Familiarity with agile workflows, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps is a plus)
- A user-focused mindset with a keen eye for detail and performance
Salary for this role is up to £70K DOE
