Lead Technical Architect

Location: Basingstoke – Office-based, 5 days per week Clearance Required: DV Contract Duration: 6 months.Day Rate: £850

We are seeking a Lead Technical Architect to take ownership of technical delivery within a major transformation programme. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategy, drive innovation, and lead technical teams in creating value for end users in a highly secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical delivery of Managed Service components from design through to live deployment.
• Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure cohesion and efficiency across multiple technology areas.
• Provide input into strategic direction and roadmap development for key delivery areas.
• Act as the technical lead, offering guidance and governance to internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Ensure architecture compliance, integrity, and alignment with the original vision.
• Report directly to the project’s Solution Lead.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience delivering secure, resilient, large-scale IaaS, PaaS, and workplace solutions.
• Strong background in creating and owning technical design artefacts (HLDs, LLDs).
• Ability to problem-solve and present ideas using design thinking methodologies.
• Skilled in managing and motivating teams to deliver against plans.
• Experience with Agile methodologies in solution development and delivery.

• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
