Senior Technical Project Manager – Security Cleared (Defence Sector)

Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid, with travel to other sites as required)Contract: 6 months | Rate: £650 per day (inside IR35) | Clearance: Security Clearance

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a high-profile programme within the UK Defence sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a complex, large-scale project requiring strong technical oversight and leadership skills.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will manage a team of Architects, SMEs, Implementation Engineers, and Test Analysts, ensuring successful delivery across the full engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive requirements analysis and project scheduling
• Manage stakeholders and third-party subcontractors
• Oversee health & safety compliance and change control
• Ensure delivery across the entire project and engineering lifecycle
• Lead risk management and maintain commercial awareness

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven on-site implementation experience
• Strong Project Management and team leadership capabilities
• Expertise in risk management and analytical thinking
• Subcontractor management experience
• Technical knowledge of Gigamon, VMware, F5, Forcepoint, PKI, Juniper, Cisco, Firepower

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
• Location: Hybrid – Basingstoke and other sites as required
• Clearance:  Security Cleared
