• Remote with occasional travel to London
• £700-£800 per day via Umbrella
• 6 months initial contract

We are seeking a highly credible and experienced Non-Functional Test Lead to provide strategic consultancy and hands-on leadership across testing and quality assurance activities. This senior role will directly support and advise the Senior Responsible Officer, Chief Digital Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer, ensuring the highest standards of testing excellence across a complex, multi-national programme.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead and oversee testing and quality assurance across functional and non-functional testing, security, performance, and resilience testing.
• Conduct end-to-end citizen user testing across the UK and Ireland.
• Ensure testing standards align with those expected in financial services, financial regulators, and Government Digital Services.
• Provide expert guidance and hands-on support to Heads of Development in scoping, setting up, and running QA processes.
• Track and communicate progress across all testing activities.
• Engage and communicate effectively with VIP stakeholders, including CEO, company boards, and government ministers.
• Ensure transparency, confidence, and alignment with strategic goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record in senior test leadership roles within regulated environments.
• Deep expertise in non-functional testing domains including performance, security, and resilience.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, especially at C-suite and ministerial levels.
• Strong understanding of citizen-facing digital services and user testing methodologies.
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in high-pressure environments.
