We are seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead development efforts within a mature DevOps team. This role involves a blend of technical design and delivery across the full project lifecycle, requiring strong engagement and collaborative skills to work directly with product owners.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the delivery of new solutions and support ongoing application maintenance.
  • Engage in requirements capture and analysis, and design new functionality.
  • Adhere to organisational design principles when considering application architecture.
  • Develop both traditional MVC solutions and single page applications.
  • Ensure applications meet WCAG 2.1 AA compliance standards.
  • Design integration services with other solutions as necessary.
  • Establish repeatable test approaches and maintain build and deployment pipelines.
  • Perform QA of colleagues' code and write technical documentation for supported solutions.
  • Conduct performance analysis of applications and individual functional components.
  • Manage back-log refinement and work estimation.
  • Utilize DevOps technologies for work planning and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in web application design, development, and support.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET, C#.NET, .Net Core, MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework.
  • Strong front-end technology skills – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.
  • Experience with CMS products such as Umbraco.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into application specifications.
  • Strong understanding of UI, UX, and responsive design.
  • Experience in delivering accessible applications.
  • Knowledge of secure application development practices addressing OWASP security concerns.
  • Agile backlog management and experience of code quality reviews.
  • Prototyping new techniques and solutions.
  • Excellent engagement, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Azure cloud hosting and SQL server.
