Service Desk Administrator (Temporary)

Location: Andover Salary: £14.50 – £15 per hour Job Type: Temporary Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Working Arrangement: Fully office-based

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Service Desk Administrator with a passion for technology to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Andover on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual with strong administrative skills who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls from customers reporting faults or requesting support
  • Accurately record details using the service management system
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting to gather key technical information
  • Manage call responses, including telephone support and scheduling engineer appointments
  • Arrange preventative maintenance visits in line with customer requirements
  • Ensure engineers are correctly booked on and off calls
  • Raise invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain and update customer records as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service and administration
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Interest in or knowledge of technology
  • Confident in asking diagnostic questions and providing initial troubleshooting support
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
