Service Desk Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Andover Salary: £14.50 – £15 per hour Job Type: Temporary Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Working Arrangement: Fully office-based
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Service Desk Administrator with a passion for technology to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Andover on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual with strong administrative skills who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming calls from customers reporting faults or requesting support
- Accurately record details using the service management system
- Provide first-line troubleshooting to gather key technical information
- Manage call responses, including telephone support and scheduling engineer appointments
- Arrange preventative maintenance visits in line with customer requirements
- Ensure engineers are correctly booked on and off calls
- Raise invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain and update customer records as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service and administration
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Interest in or knowledge of technology
- Confident in asking diagnostic questions and providing initial troubleshooting support
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
