Service Desk Coordinator - 12-month Maternity Contract

- Salary: £28-30,000
- Contract: Maternity Cover - 12 month with the potential of becoming a permanent role
- Hours: Monday–Friday: 8.30am–5.30pm; 1 in 4 weekends (independent office working): 8.30am–4.30pm
Join a global leader in a growing product led business as a Service Desk Coordinator. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's reputation for quality, professionalism, and reliability by providing exceptional customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring every interaction is professional, helpful, and timely.
- Manage and schedule engineer workloads, optimising their locations and availability to maximise efficiency and meet customer expectations.
- Follow all service processes accurately, maintaining high standards of detail, compliance, and consistency across client contracts.
- Respond promptly to customer requests, allocate jobs, and coordinate emergency works with urgency and care.
- Support engineers by providing clear job information, solving issues, and ensuring they have what they need to deliver quality service.
- Assist with quotations and ensure documentation is accurate, thorough, and completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain precise administrative records, ensuring all systems and service logs are updated without error.
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams to keep everyone informed and uphold excellent service standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, able to support customers and engineers with clarity and confidence.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Highly reliable with excellent timekeeping and a motivated, proactive work ethic.
- Proven administrative or scheduling experience, ideally within a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
- PC literate, quick to learn new systems, and comfortable working with service management software.
