We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Manager to support a large-scale technology transformation programme within a prestigious organisation with a rich history spanning 500 years. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth transitions of suppliers and services, maintaining the integrity of live operations throughout the process.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead end-to-end service transition activities aligned with programme objectives and service management best practices.
- Serve as the primary interface between Service Management, Programme Delivery, and Suppliers, ensuring service considerations are prioritized.
- Plan and manage supplier transitions to prevent any degradation of live services.
- Own and coordinate transition planning, governance, and reporting, including managing risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Manage knowledge transfer activities, ensuring documentation is comprehensive, up-to-date, and approved.
- Coordinate transition delivery in defined waves, ensuring clear entry and exit criteria are met.
- Oversee pre- and post-transition support phases to ensure seamless service continuity.
- Work closely with Service Delivery to ensure operational readiness, service acceptance criteria, and support models are agreed upon and met.
- Provide assurance to senior stakeholders that transitions are controlled, compliant, and safeguard service integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager in complex, multi-supplier environments.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices.
- Demonstrable experience managing supplier transitions in large-scale, multidisciplinary digital or technology programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging confidently at all levels.
- Experience in coordinating and delivering knowledge transfer and service readiness activities.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict delivery timelines.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and governance-focused.
- ITIL certification or equivalent service management credentials are desirable.
