Software Asset Manager

Reed Technology is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic organisation in Edinburgh, currently looking to bring onboard a Software Asset Manager. You'll be leading the Software Services Team in managing a portfolio of software site licenses and bulk purchase deals, to ensure the best value for money, following internal procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of software assets, including negotiation, procurement, renewal, and vendor engagement, to drive cost efficiency through procurement frameworks.
• Lead improvements to the IT Asset Management function, focusing on high-volume assets such as end-user devices and software licensing.
• Manage a small team responsible for software purchasing, provisioning, licensing, compliance, and internal cost recovery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in software licensing and procurement, including site licence contracts and vendor negotiations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to operate in complex environments.
• Experience in financial planning and IT asset lifecycle management, particularly for high-volume assets like end-user devices.
• Working knowledge of ITIL and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion), especially within procurement and asset management functions.
• Ability to lead change and influence others, with a track record of motivating teams and improving ITAM processes.

Benefits:

• Salary up to £55.000/ annum, depending on experience.
